Whats growing on my live rock?

    So i noticed when i set my tank up that there was something white growing on my live rock. It grows very slowly bc i just noticed that it got bigger and was wondering what it was. Its a white tube looking thing. I have no clue what it is but i would like to know. Thanks for your help

    Likely either a sponge or a tunicate(seasquirt).

    Google both and you'll likely find a match!- or get us a picture and someone should be able to ID it for you.

    i may be off but it may be a reaction that the rock is having to the new tank. like a new tank syndrome. If it is like a film and it tends to float upwards in strings, then that is what it is. I had that and it went away. I did do a water change just in case. My LFS told me the same thing.
