whats going on with this clown ? please help !!!!

the pair of clown was introduced in the tank a week back 2 days back i found one clown dead and the other clown was getting some spots like this

please identify what is this and remedy for this.

I do not know what it is. There have been quite a few threads on clown fish developing this infection around the mouth. The only specifics that seemed to help if the fish was still eating was Melafix. I hope he pulls through, but I have not seem much success in treating it unfortunately.

As with any onset of disease test parameters: Nitrates, ammonia,.....SG.

Monitor for new tank syndrome if this is a new set up as well.

true the fish is not in QT since few hours but not sure he will see tomorrow morning

My first clown had an issue that I never could resolve. It's paired mate had a similar issue arise that I followed and fed crushed garlic with frozen food and it survived. I can't tell if it was the cleaner water, or the garlic, but I still have the same fish today. Here's the link...

thanks man that was helpful, but sorry to say the clown is no more rest of the fishes in the tank are all safe and eating healthy

but i ll still continue feeding NLS and Cyclops dipped in garlic for betterment.
