We've all had to search the net to try and find information on Hitchhikers that mysteriously show up in our tank. Some years ago I started taking pictures of my own hitchhikers, then I would take pictures of hitchhikers at the LFS and friends houses.... eventually I found myself stalking the stores on the days they brought in Live Rock and sending people PMs begging to buy their unwanted tag-a-longs... I knew I had a problem LOL. Anyways, a Hitchhikers Guide was born and it's time for an overhaul. I have a lot of new pictures to add and different medias, but what I would like to know is what would YOU like to see in a Hitchhiker's Guide.

    Lionfish Lair's Hitchhiker's Guide - Under Revision

Below are some of the ideas. Please comment or add other things you would like to see.

    - Lots of additional critters
    - Enlargement of thumbnails

    Within "More Info"
    - Links to web sources
    - Links to threads discussions
    - Additional pictures
    - Links to additional pictures where direct permission could not be obtained.
    - Videos where available
    - Button to hear pronunciation.

    What would help YOU out?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Slipper Limpets, something we see often on clean up crew members.
Ctenophores: I guess goes along with the jelly fish.

I like that you included the Gall Crabs.

Skeleton Shrimp/Caprellidae, I see them as an ID every once in awhile. Especially on cultivated macro algae like chaeto.

Your site is a wonderful resource and I use it more and more.

    LOL!!!! And peppermint snails.

I have to add a dozen more critters, first I'm double checking everything new and everything old on the front page. Need to tighten some stuff up in there. Now, I'm going through flatworm classifications.

Is there a special feature you would like to see?

I've been asking peeps for help as I pour over thread after thread. I'm trying to make their photo credit pop a little more. It's turned into a project involving spreadsheets. I want to bring more pictures into the "read more area" and have links to all sorts of threads everywhere. Right now, most of them open to great articles WITHIN my page. That's because the scrolly part is actually a different page and the outside static stuff is like a picture frame of sorts. But I feel bad about that. That's why I'm hoping to find a coder to help me get updated. I can't teach myself CSS.

I have ctenophores to add! I have never seen a skeleton shrimp. I actually need to do a forum search for that! Good one!

I'll go ahead and put up what I have so far. I'm working on it right now, so don't mind if things get mixed up a few times tonight :)

This has turned into a project from around the world. People have been most gracious. I haven't even started in on searching this forum yet!

I've given up on understanding false vs true limpets. Someone just wanna break it down for me at this point? I don't think I've read Schimeks article lately, maybe I'll start there. I've been reading about limpets all day but end up in a million other interesting places along the way.
