I also listen to a little of everything.. mostly old rock.. saw some ac/dc and skynyrd already in this thread. Also listen to some new heavy stuff like atreyu, in flames, etc.
I play guitar as well, have for about 17 years.

Nice. Saw them with Every Time I Die and a couple others at the House of Blues in Chi when I was living there. Sick show.

dang, there's a lot of pretty hardcore music running around for what i consider a pretty chill hobby (mudvayne, static x, rob zombie, manson, barry manilow). i mean, we're pretty much just underwater florists.... i'm into the "coffeshop" time music: eric hutchinson, yael naim, DMB, pete yorn. though once a month or so i will get into some good ol' ska or punk stuff from my college days. i think someone said Flogging Molly, rock on, bro!

Finally, the groups I've heard of and loved (showing my age here)....

Also, Jimmy Buffett! I also grew up with classical and played and taught flute and piccolo for many, many years (bet you didn't know that).

And John, I probably have Jonathan Livingston Seagull on 8 track in a box somewhere... (WHAT?) :)

Ah, thanks for the explanation, sounds like the band Sepultura from the 90s.

I wish I was around in the 80's so I could have seen my favorite bands in concert. I am going to see Motley Crue in August though.
