What to do with LR

    well anyone know what i could do with this LR i have? it's about 20lbs and its just so ugly. When i build my fuge i'll put some LR in there but i'll still have some that i really dont have use for. Any ideas? I just wanna get 2 nice medium pieces from reefcleaners and seed it with LR; after using the LR I need i'd still have maybe 5-10 lbs

    Take them to your LFS. That is what i did. I got 150 lbs from my friend that originaly had a 180 and i have a 70. I got $100 for about 40lbs.

    whatever that means XD

    Basically you bleach it and let it dry, essentially turning it into base rock. Search around, I think Otty had instructions on a method of nuking rock.

    so i was searching some threads and john at reefcleaners recommended nuking the LR by putting the LR under a lid in the microwave for 40 seconds. Guess that could work; besides even as the live rock is outside on my floor and dried theres still cyano and green algae XD
