Dingo, do you notice a funny smell with the Brightwell? I've tried all of the above, but am on the Brightwell now. I don't know if I see any differences though.

Tropic Marine is the top salt out of those listed.

The funny thing is people are choosing Instant Ocean on the Poll question but its more than likely Reef Crystals that the majority of them probably use.

I use Red Sea and have only 2 complaints:

#1: It seems to mix up to a lower pH - 8.1ish
#2: The bucket doesn't have a twist off top like Reef Crystals (Picky, yes, but I ended up using an old Reef Crystals bucket to house my red sea salt since it was so easy to remove the top)

E.S.V. and Tropic Marin seem to be about the same price. How long does Tropic recommend to fully mix?

    1. it is completely synthesized in the lab so what they say your getting is exactly what your getting.
    2. it mixes up much faster and way nicer
    3. when you buy a 150 gallon bucket it mixes 150 gallons to 1.025, not 1.021 as other brands say ;)
    4. the polyp extension on my sps is a lot farther (this could be from a lot of things, however after my last brand switch the extension was MUCH more consistent)
    5. i dont have to add a single thing... all levels are spot on as advertised on their bucket :D
