Hello when I bought my 72 gallon bow front setup the guy gave me free a brand new metal halide light fixture made by coralife it is 48 inches has 2 250 halide bulbs 2 pc lights and 6 leds. It is to strong for my 72 gallon without a chiller so what size tank should I get for it?

To answer your question, 90 long, 115 tall, 120 tall, 125 wide, 150 tall, 150 wide, 170 tall are all 48". You're looking at several hundred dollars though.

Maybe I'm bias towards mh but I would keep the tank and get a different light for the bow! Unless you like the light that much, in that case I'd gladly take the bow front of your hands for you. :)

Wow! You got an awesome deal! $300 for two 150 watt halides, a $1000 halide/compact unit, a bow front and the equipment? You hit the lottery. Try to sell the bow front with the clip on lights and put it towards your new tank purchase. With your light fixture, a "tall" tank may be best.

I had that exact light over my reef (although mine was 24", 150w mh and (65w) pcs plus moonlights. There's no way I would sell that light unless you could get A LOT of money for it and then you could buy LEDs for the bowfront.

I'd keep the light and buy a taller, bigger tank. :)
