What size of QT?

    What size of QT is recommended? Will a 20 gal suffice for tangs or does it need to be larger?

    2" thinking initial purchases to QT before placing them in the DT for the first time...

    More to make sure they're healthy, no ick. Not necessarily thinking hospital tank for a larger fish at this point...

    Well, since it's for smaller tangs, it's likely bigger than the tank they're coming from. The 20g would also include a couple hiding places, I presume, so I would say the 20 is fine for a QT, or even a full ich treatment. Just not as a permanent residence.
