What % should I have my leds at

My leds are 10 royal blue 10 white
So what % should I run them at when I set my tank up

 

It really depends on coral selection, depth of tank, optics, LED type.

I would start really low and work your way up though! Just watch the coral and see how it responds.

 

But is there like a max I should never exceed

 

I have the cheap taotronics and I havnt gone past 60% blue and white. Great growth and pe. There also about 8" over a 125.

 

This also depends on the tank and coral you plan on keeping. What size tank?

 

29g and stater coral nothing to expensive till I get more exp

 

My friend has a 29 gallon with a AI SOL over it that has 8 white, 8 blue, and 8 royal blues. He never got above around 50% to 60% and is able to keep sps in the tank. I would think you wouldn't need to go much over 60% depending on what type of LEDS and optics you will be using.

What fixture is this? is it DIY?

 

its a diy from rapid led with 90 degree optics all leds are cree and i will be adding a uv stunner strip to it as well
