what should be my photo period?

when i had PC and T5 i went with the T5 which was my actnic on at 1:30 off at 10 and the PC was on at 2:30 and off at 9:15.

now i only have the PC and it stays at the same times.

i was wonderinf if the 12/ 10k bulbs for daylight would be good enuf.

 

good enough? i depends on what your preference is. imoi 10,000K bulbs are arguably the best temp for coral growth and 20,000K are blue compared and some believe make your corals color "pop". i prefer the higher temp but to each his own. wattage and your aquarium depth along with what you are keeping would really determine if they are good enough.

 

ok all i know is i have 2x 6700k bulbs for my days and i want either 10ks or 12ks

 

Tedd, ive got 2 420nm actinics and 2 460nm actinics in mine, then the 2 10k HQI's. I run my actinics on at 9am, then the HQI's on at 10am, HQI's off at 8pm then the actinics off at 9pm.

thx dude my lights are up and running now on times so im all set. i need to start a new tread about bulbs i wanna replce my days and get some new bulbs, but im not sure which ones

 

since you dont have halides,well i dont think you do anyhow, I would probably go with a 12k and 15k. But Ilike the blue color. 10k is pretty much like daylight IMHO. It isnt too blue.
