I've used nothing but reef crystals for 3 years now,and have had good growth with corals, params stay in check.I have all softies,i use it because it's the only brand around locally, but have come to like it and have had no issues due to it.I don't know that any others are better or not,so for me it's kinda one of those"if it works, use it"type things.I also don't dose any additives to my tank.Just salt, water and food

I say if its not broke don't fix it. If RC is doing good for you and your not lacking on any params stay with it.

Agreed, especially given that you don't have many hard corals or any sps corals. I would get the cheapest stuff if I was in your shoes.

well seachem reef salt is like $15 for a 50gal bag, reef crystals is like $20.00 H20 is like $25, salinity is $80 for a big bucket. I guess ill just stick with reef crystals or I might try Seachem reef salt since Alot of people on the atlanta reef club use that.

I would Definitely recommend Red Sea Pro. It is amazing and its trace elements are outstanding. You pay what you get for.
