I was checking out my aquarium this morning after the lights have gone on to find this clump of white, almost hair, looking stuff. It is pure white, flowing with the current, not long strand but not short either. I want to say it looks like eggs...(maybe? LOL) I have an array of snails and 3 red tipped hermt crabs. Its on one of my original pieces of live rock and in the shade. I have NOT a clue what it it...

Maybe fur, a pet fell in the tank? j/k ;D Really I can't see well in the picture. On my monitor, looks like a grey clump, not white strands.... How think are the strands? Do they have a texture?

I have something exactly like this in my tank that I think came in on a piece of live rock. No inverts bother it and it doesnt seem to bother anything so I have left it alone. I will be tagging along to find out what this is.

Not much better pic but you can see that its almost "fuzzy" like. Its solid white, not clear looking.

They way its angled and in the dark its hard to get a decent pic of.
