Am working on a new build for personal friend, but in their corporate office. Photos here are of the template I built of the tank we have on order, in the actual space the tank will be located. The tank dimensions are 46" long x 31" deep x 44" tall. Roughly 260 gallons. Dilemma I'm facing is which lighting to purchase. I'm undecided on everything really...the type, size and even make/model. Tank will have a chiller, and exhaust ventilation above, so MH totally an option and where I'm leaning(still need size/make/model recommendations), but feel free to talk me out of MH. Budget not so much a concern as getting the right equipment for the tank. Plan is for a reef with mostly SPS. Appreciate any and all recommendations.

T5's probably won't reach the bottom of the tank. I would do metal halides or Kessil A360N's if the money up front is no issue.

Might use T5's but would only be as a supplement to MH for better color.

I have been looking hard at the Kessil A360N's, they are a good candidate. Do you(or anyone else) have any first hand experience with them? How many would you think we need?

Look up Evil LED's, with a new version using Luxeon M's, you could easily grow sps at the mid/bottom level hehehe

I had an a360N on my 29 and it covered the whole tank.

I'm at MACNA right now and they have a 500 gallon tank that looks about 3 feet tall and the whole thing is lit by 6 Radions.

Woops, I meant Evil Clusters, the first was designed and created by Evil himself! You know it's awesome when the LED gawd built it!
