I am trying to figure out what light to get for my 55G. I thing LED will be cheaper in the long run. There are sooo many options! Help! :)

Also I have heard that if you get something too powerful you can over do it and kill your corals?

I only have 2 small pieces of flower pot coral now..... and they arent doing so good.

Also, do I get glass versa tops and just set the light on top of them? I have a canopy so want to make sure everything fits under it.

    Thanks :)

I just got the reefbreeders 32" controllable led. Awesome! No glass lid for LEDs. Check them out! A lot of people on here have their units

Thanks for the replies. I am leaning toward the Reefbreeders 200 watt controllable 32 inch fixture.

    Thoughts?

I'm not the handiest person in the world, but if you can solder and have some free time to learn and screw up a few times, you can put together a nice DIY fixture.
