What kind of paint to use???

    It really doesn't matter. I have used Krylon both in spray paint and brush on enamel form as well as water based latex. It all ends up the same in the end and gives you a good coating as long as you take the time to apply several coats.

    i used cheap black spraypaint. Anything will work. just cover the top of the tank with some plastic or something. I securely taped garbage bags over my top.

    I was going to do this. However, I couldnt decide on a color blue of black. So instead I am going to have a tint shop put black vinyl across the back. It is costing $35 for my 125 gallon. And the best is that if i dont like it i can peel it right off without any damage or strenious scraping of paint.
