Please help me out. I'm starting to plan for what corals to put in my tank. I'm interested to hear what is the favorite coral that you have in your tank. I should have the light and water flow to support pretty much anything.

My favorite is definitely the Japanese trac brain. Nothing else in the tank has close to as much color.

If you know a Genus and species or some more specific name, could you include that as well. I a relative neewb to coral and I'm concerned that if I ask my LFS for purple death palys he either won't know what I'm talking about or he'll be thinking of something entirely different than you are.

Purple Deaths are one of the more recognized paly name's. That one shouldn't give you too many problems.

A few more favorites of mine have always been the wavy LPS like: torch coral, hammer coral, and frog spawn.

My sunset montipora (montipora danea) is my favorite. It's bright orange with green polyps, I love the coloration. My second favorite is my ORA Bird of Paradise, it's a lime green with purple polyps, really nice looking.

One of my favorites by far is the tricolor birdsnest. It has green tips, orange polyps, and a yellow skeleton.

I am also a huge fan of pink tipped hammers and frogspawns.

Wait I just put two and two together, and hooked a couple of your thread's together. You don't need to pick. With 700 gallons of space you should just get one of each.
