Last week I noticed two small mushroom looking growths under some LR. Within a week they tripled in size. Ones as big as a nickel, and their both very bubbly in shape. Any thoughts or experience with this?

Its kinda starting to look like some weird mushroom of something. I don’t think its bubble algae (got some of that already).

If this helps, I've seen them in person. They appear to be filled with water. They've grown alot since I've seen them. They don't look like a sponge or tunicate. It doesn't look like bubble algae in person. Hey Ray, Try touching them to see if they feel like a sponge or a bubble.

They are definitely filled with water and very soft to the touch. They don’t close down at night, but shriveled up a little when I touched them, back to full size minutes later.

Nothing to add, but I just gotta point out that's some awesome rock! I wish mine looked that good.
