What is this pest?

did you add any LR recently? or do you think these all reproduced in your tank?

If they reproduced, that's crazy cool. I would think nature would limit their population based on available resources, so I wouldn't really worry about it...

But I am impressed. My chitons have not reproduced ever (that I know of). Very cool. If they weren't so expensive, I'd have a lot more

 

I have not added any rock for about 2 years I have changed my aquascape but not added any. I always saw one or two but now they are everywhere in the am when light come on. Just I have been on a different schedule so I have seen how many there are now. they have most certainly reproduced in the tank.

 

Now here is a population explosion LOL

I have been watching them for weeks populate and populate and they hang down at the bottom until the lights go out then here they come

Yours are limpets.

 

...but not true limpets, they are fissurellids ("Keyhole Limpets").
