Yea he's definitely not a JD. My roommate has one, and he's not really the same. He's built kinda like a baby, and by that i mean he/she is a bit pudgy looking. Also, he has the same exact color pattern as the GT that I have. I've been trying to get a picture of the GT for comparison, but he's being camera shy at the moment...i'll put a pic up as soon as i can

Thanks Matt...any thoughts to whether or not he's a dwarf? Here's a picture of the GT...managed to snap a picture while he was busy munching on one of my ghost shrimp

Based on mine, I go with green terror. Forgive the water I had to feed him to get him to acknowledge my existence enough to come near the glass and everyone else in the tank came out of their caves and disturbed the water.

a lil late to the game here but yeh, its a green terror. too much orange for an acara.

BTW, if this is the second green terror added to a tank which has a dominant terror in it already, the new fish will most likely be sub-dominant to your dominant green terror. He/she will not act as aggressively as the dominant one and will have a slower growth rate. I believe is a hormonal growth reduction if I remember correctly, but not 100% on that. Could also be due to the difference in the amount of food eaten by both fish.

That is an 'Aequidens' sp. "Goldsaum", otherwise know as a False Green Terror. A True Green Terror would be the 'Silversaum' variety.

I kept one for several years and it was a very slow grower. It now resides in a friends 300 gallon.
