Someone please guide me to a good reliable thermometer... It doesn't matter if its digital or not.. just something good!

I heard the digital coralife ones are garbage...

    Thanks!

Believe it or not, I"m using a cheapy that sticks to the glass and shows the temps, usually a few at a time, and in different colors so you know how close to that temp it is.

I checked it with a floating glass one the were the same.

    NO sensors, no electricity, etc.

    don't try this at home!

Agreed. The little glass ones are the best. If you get a digital one always have a backup glass one in there.

I find the ones with probes are the best. They are accurate and long lasting, but can be expensive. My GHL temp probe was about $80.

Don't get the AquaMedic digital thermometer. They are cheap, but do not last very long... especially if they are in the display tank.

I don't like floating glass thermometers as they can break.

I use the stick on glass ones as well and they are always spot on. And for $2-$4 can't beat it

I've always used the floating glass hydrometer with thermometer. I also use a floating glass thermometer, and they always read the same.

I actually use the sticker kind on the outer glass, and check it on rare occasions with the glass one.

Each type is less the $5.
