    Hey all!

I'm still doing some research and just personal interest so if anyone would care to chime in and let me/the world know (cus the whole world checks 3Reef now right? or should!) :)

If you had to name one fish and one coral that made you finally say, "Yeah, I just have to do it." What would the fish responsible be? and what coral was responsible?

My fish that hooked me, hmmm no pun intended was the Royal Gramma Basslet.

The Coral was an awesome blue brain coral.

The RGB made me say I couldn't resist any more and had to have at least a small SW tank.

    what did it for you?

Mine was a Humu-Humu Trigger at my friends house. Then after setting up the aquarium, I found out they are not Reef safe. So I never did get my Humu, But I still love my Reef Tank!

After having progressed through other areas of the hobby
    coldwater, tropicals, species tanks

it was the humble Yellow Tailed Blue Damsel that got me to attempt my 1st saltwater set up

all the freshwater fish I had ever kept up to that date, seemed to pale when compared against the electric blue of the most basic saltwater fish

when I found out they where ideal beginner fish, easy to keep, feed etc
that was enough to get me to empty a 4ft tank , and start again with rocks and sand

1st coral that got me to move that aquarium from FOWLR to a reef, was again a very basic beginner species = GSP , 1st time I saw that, and was told it would be fine in my 4ft with Damsel, clowns, Gramma and a bi colour blenny , I was hooked
