    Hi all -

Anybody know what eats halimeda? I have some growing around some corals that my urchin can't get to.

I used to have an emerald crab but he was not too big on trimming the halimeda.

I usually manually trim it but I'd love to get something that takes care of it for me.

    Thanks in advance!

    matt

I cant think of anything. luckily it grows slow, looks nice, and is simple to manually remove.

There may be some sea hare species that might.

Some Tangs will.I've seen Regal Tangs and Saifin's eat it.I realise that doesn't help much.:-/Maybe PM John and see if he knows. Emeralds will need to be starving before they will touch it IME.;)

I'm sure the Tang Police wouldn't mind if you added two or three Sailfin's...just temporary and all. :p

Matt would just be required to wear one of those ankle bracelts until the Tang/Tangs are returned to a proper home thats all.::)::)

Hehe. I only have a 26 gallon tank.
If I didn't care about fish size, I'd throw a Foxface or Kole Tang in there.
