is it worth it? i have a 30 inch long tank i do plan on making a custom bracket to hold it up if the legs dont extend the whole length.

I have an odyssea 36" 4 bulb. I put uvl-r bulbs in it at seems pretty good. I bought used off CL and have had running for 3 months now.

If thats all you can afford for now I would say go for it. For myself when i find a higher quality unit for sale on CL or forums, i will upgrade.

    Good luck

Tell us more about the tank like how tall it is. The reflector is flat and will cause about 20% to 25% less light to enter the tank and will hamper the bulbs penetrating power.

give us more on the dimension of the tank. how deep is it.

my gut instinct is to tell no anyway since it will only cover the middle of the tank.

is it worth it is a loaded question, this is one of the cheapest fixture out there as such you should expect that performance and quality. It should grow corals on a shallow tank. the bulbs should be replaced right off the bat.

also don't expect much on the moonlight front they should stop working with in a couple months and are dim as crap.
