    So I will be leaving christmas eve, later afternoon and won't be home till around 11:30pm on christmas.

    I top up my Innovative marine daily on my own...should it be ok for that long if I top up before I leave?

    I worry about the pump not being submerged in water, i have no idea how low that chamber will get without topping up

    Well, the best thing you can do is "run a test" while you're there. See how long it can go without being topped off. Most of those pumps can go a while running water/air, it's not running completely dry.
