    OH and one more question, LED/UV lights, do they have to be on at all times? I can't imagine the electricity bill if it does. Please let me know ASAP I have just started cycling saltwater. I have a sump, and live rock and sand.

    No they don't. If you have coral, put it on a 11 or 12 hr cycle just like the sun. If it's FO, you don't even need that. While your cycling, you can leave them on or off, whichever suits you.

    Every reefer should have a hat. It not only proitects you from the sun but has nothing to do with reefing whatsoever ;D
