what do emerald crabs eat?

    I have an emerald in my seahorse tank which also has an Mandarin and it bothers no one. You should get a Black Rock urchin, it will get rid of all you hair algae, and any other kind of algae in the tank including Coraline.

    Does anyone know if emerald crabs eat yumas? We just got one (an emerald crab), and it seems to spend an awful lot of time with my Yuma???

    Fwiw crabs are opportunistic. They can eat anything.

    As mentioned earlier, they're crabs, and crabs are opportunistic. I've never had one bother any corals, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility. I have had maturing emeralds kill other inverts and small fish.

    worst comes to worst they can be banished to the sump to help clean that up.

    I got two emerald crabs last week and they haven't stop eating since I got them they seem to stay within one area of the tank. They don't seem to bother anything yet but my anemone was rubbing one yest like it was going to be a tasty snack

    well so far my only casualty easy clown who I think just didnt handle the stress of moving well. The emeralds I got mow algae they seem to leave everything alone for now and my 18 month old son seems to like them
