Meaning you collected something from the ocean (potentially illegal) and just dropped it into your tank without knowing what it really is?

With all due respect, your attitude on all livestock aspects has you set up for disaster/failure.

Looked it up... not a linkia. Linkia have red spots and the body is usually a blue, green, or grey if i remember correctly. (read about it this morning)

@ Evolved... Not to sound ungrateful for the comments or nething but I've had this same attitude since starting my 5g the same ways i am doing this one... Everything I had(aside from dusters) did extremely well... As is my current tank. So I think as long as you maintain and keep the tank under observation for the first few weeks all is well.

Not quite. I dont think this is the correct logic. Unless you are absolutely sure the dragonette is eating plenty prepared foods, I'm sure (98.7%) it will die. The tank cannot support even a small scooter blenny. I speak from experience.

Many animals can waste away for months before finally dying. As with all animals, close observation isn't all they need. If you put a great dane in a closet with plenty of food and water and kept a close eye on him, it still would not go well. Aquatic animals are 100 times more sensitive than any dog, so this is only amplified.
