I have a 180 G with 3 250MH and 4 T5's. What are the best bulbs to buy if I locate my 3 MH's in the center spaced symetrically across the width of the tank (6')? I hear about UVL's and VHO's and Actinic? etc....

may want to go with an actinic type bulb for the t5's. have them come on an hour before the mh's fire. kinda a way to prepare your tank for the mh's. geismann makes a good actinic + bulb.

I like ATI's Blue Plus bulb as well for color. They put out a good amount of light as well so be prepared for that. Otherwise any ATI/UVL/Giesemann True actinic is a good option as well just for color, they have much less light output than the Blue Plus, though with the MH you may not want a lot more.

No clue about MH bulbs, sorry.
