So I have about 200 lbs of base rock that has been soaking in RO water. Due to some unforeseen issues that came up the rock has been sitting for a couple of weeks now. Its starting to stink and has some stringy brown stuff growing on it. Whats my best coarse of action with this stuff?

do you have it covered? I'm asking bc you dont want any light to get to it due to algae growth.

This will be my suggestion. You can pull the rocks and let it dry out again? This way you can scrub the brown stuff off. Then re-soak.

I'm soaking my dry fiji rock as well and I also am running a small filter with phosphate removing granules. Dead rock can leach phosphates.
