    A very good possibilty

Sound advise MoJoe,but until it's positively id'd,if it is dino,a large wc could just add fuel to the fire.

Thanks grinder, I've been fortunate enough to not have dinos so I'm glad I know this info and the OP does too now. Hopefulyl it's not dinos for his sake.

No prob bud.Although i'm not sure why,but when I was fighting them a couple years ago,Curt/Inwall75 helped me through it with flying colors, but wc's and good flow actually help feed dino's and will just hinder efforts to eradicate them.

They rod appear right after the cyanide died. I just don't get why my corals are closed.

So what your saying is that my corals are closed beacause of the oxygen being low?
How long will this diatom or dinoflagellate thing last. My flower coral colony and frogspawn have been closed for 2 days and now my zoanthids are looking weird. I don't know what to do!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Yep need images.

There are 2 members that recently experienced outbreaks of dino, look for their threads. One should be under algae, do a search and compare images.

Without images it's extremely difficult to trouble shoot the issue.
