I had to get rid of the eel because it was constantly getting into my weir. I had the cowrie for about 7 years and only just got rid of it last week because it was starting to eat some of my coral, probably due to the lack of algae since I've finally got it under control.
I think I got the eel and cowrie from the same piece of live rock and I must say I was very surprised when I first saw them, I had never even seen a cowie before.

I just found my weird hitch hiker today. Didn't get too good of a look at it, but it was some type of swimming clam. It opens wide then as it snaps closed it surges forward through the water. It's about the size of a quarter.

I found it lodged in my MP10. I figured the clowns had been playing keep-a-way from the cromis and lost their shell in the pump. Pulled it out and it took off across the tank. Before I could stop it, it was through a hole in the rock and out of site.
