Is there a way or kit to use the housing of an old T5 light?

my guess would be just remove t5bulbs and buy a DIY led kit and install them in the housing.. should be pretty simple

You probably could reuse the case after gutting it. Heat may end up being an issue though

A guy at my LFS made a LED fixture using the shell of an old coralife T5 fixture. He said the metal housing of the coralife fixture actually made a really nice heat sink. Plus, those coralife fixtures go bad all the time so at least you're making use of it!
