Well, one good answer is water is basically non-compressible but you can squish ice. Water is more dense and solid.

Actually I think temperature has everything to do with it, considering ice is water, only colder. You can get water from ice, and ice from water, it all depends on the temperature.

    A circle has no ends.

Thank you infamous! I second that some people must be toking up before posting or something.

i think its 11 out of 26 are stupid.

and if you said water is more of a solid, don't be suprised if you wake up tomorrow with a "special person zone" sign in front of your house.

Ok guys lets clear up a few things.

The question was "which is more of a solid water or ice?"
As many people have correctly stated, ice is a solid, water is a liquid. Question over.

Some of you have become hung up on the fact that ice is less dense than water. This is only true up to a point and depends on temperature. If you cool ice below a certain temperature (I think its somewhere in the region of -10) then it becomes more dense than water.
Intersting though this is, it is also totally irrelevant. The question was about physical state rather than density. The answer is still ice.

Someone else mentioned glass. At room temperature glass is actually a liquid, albeit a very viscous one.

I did not vote because it is not a legitimate question. It is not an opinion related question. I figured that it was pretty much a well known thing. I guess I was wrong. I think this poll should be deleted due to the embarrassing poll results.
