    His is 1700g... ridiculous.

    Reader submitted photos: David Saxby

Theres a bio of his tank. Based on that info, I'd say it costed him AT LEAST $55,000. He made the tank in 1995 and decided to remove everything and start over in 2003 because a lot of his fish grew too big...

Yes i agree' that Tank is awsome to say the least ' makes ya drool just looking at it' i wouldint even begin to consider what the INITAIL cost as far as money' is concerned .

I would say if the tank is a "1,700" gallon glass , it wouldint be to say that i estimate roughly 15 to 20 thousand for the tank alone ' and taken into account all the love rock needed ( say 1 pounds per gallon ) that's 1700 pnds of rock @ say 7$ per pnd ? , LOL
then an avg. cost of any given fish ' say 50.00$ ? looks like theres about 100 or so in that tank ?..LOL

and not even the cost of coral's ( some of that stuff looks rare and hard to find as well )

So add THE "CONSERVITIVE" SUMS UP '. >
    SO TANK 20,000 ?
    LIVE ROCK 11,900 ?
    FISH ALONE 5,000 ?
    TOTAL > 36,900$ <

AND IM SURE THESE ESTIMATES IM MAKING ARE "CONSERVITIVE " TO SAY THE LEAST.

I would say ' atleast consider an initail ivestment of 50 grand and then another 5 to 10 grand a year for maintanance

Boy that makes' the YEE-OL bung hole pucker up don't it...LOL
