    im sure theres less then 100 gallons of water in there, you should be fine.

    ive been running this skimmer since april of 09 and its still running great.

    My Vertex has been runing since april of 2009 and still pullin skimmate like crazy!! here are a couple pics i just took now.

    kinda pulling this thread back from the grave...
    This was suppose to be the skimmer i was going to go with although I went toe to toe with my buddies vertex in 100 vs. my swc 160 cone and boy did my 160 desimate not just his in100 but his bro-inlaw's in180 as we'll!lol...
    paying 300 vs. paying 225.00 is we'll worth the wait...
    I've read on other forums that the 160 cone is a champ for what it was created with china parts....
    but hey can some high end skimmers you pay for an arm and leg match the price and quality of the 160 cone!

    ya i would have to agree the swc 160 is a much better skimmer.

    I am currently looking to buy my PS for a new build and after reading through your review it looks like a winner for my wallet and my 90g build. Are you still using the vertec in100 and would you still recommend?
