This is the very begining of my review on the Vertex IN 100.
    VERTEX AQUARISTIK

I bought this skimmer off of AquaCave, free sipping and it was at my door in 3 days from when order was placed.

It came with 3 pages of detailed instructions on how to put peices together. It wasnt hard at all took 5 minz.

I took the time to run it through a mild water vinigar mix to get off all packaging oils and crap that may be on it. I did this for 2 hours. Then ran it threw some clean rodi water to rinse it off. then it was ready to go.

I placed it in the middle of my sump and plugged it in. Very first minut chamber was solid white with micro bubbles and faoming up. I adjusted for a few till it looked good and let it run.

(-Pic of right when i fired it up.)

I let it run for about 2 hours and themn checked on it and took a pic.

I let it run for another 4 hours today while i was at band practice and when i got home the bottom of the colection cup had a thin layer of smelly dark skimmate.
So it seems that it is working quite nicely right out of the box. This is only day one of the review so ill try to keep the thread updated on how this skimmer preforms.

Maybe you can do a product review in the review section of 3reef?

i have to say it looks impressive from the pics.

questions so i could judge the efficency.

55g dt with 50g sump so about 70g total right?
how long has it been set up? never had a skimmer before?
whats the stocking like?(fish only needed unless you have inverts that require meaty feedings)

Looks good! I was very close to picking up a Vertex IN180 when I decided on the Bubble King 180 instead.
