    When I was searching around and trying to battle ich, I read that it was useless in fighting it in a tank.

    I put uv sterilizers on all 3 of my reef tanks and I havent lost any fish to ick since and i dont worry when I put a new one in with ick.Just make sure the flow through it is matched properly so it can actually do its job.
