Update on frag growth..death.

    So last week I posted that I fragged 8 large branches from my Birds nest...3 died ..5 survived..the way it goes. but here are some photos that show both outcomes..and what to look for..or not.
    This photo and the next show the frags growing the little white horns..this is a certain sign that all is well...and these frags will survive anywhere given the proper params.

    These photos show that the tissue/flesh is gone and the skeleton is white..and all hope is lost..it happens fast..so you will know ...within 3 days I'd say.

    oh no!!! Sorry you lost a few! I just fagged a piece from one of my green with purple polyps birds nest about 3 days ago and it looks great so far. But now I know things can turn for the worst for a freshly fragged piece in no time at all.

    Crack 'em off and let them fall to the bottom. They'll live every time.
