I have this beautifull goby i bought to help with cleaning my sand.

Latley i have noticed that he seems to be getting skinney like hes not being fed. I already feed the tank pelets and a blend of shrimps. Mysis, krill, brine and whatever else is in the cube i feed them.

Is their a fattier food i should feed him?

these fish are known to have parasites, I would go to your LFS and see if the have metrodiazole that you can add to the food

Tank is big enough and mature enough to support a sandsifter so I would assume it is a parasite

Have you tries PE mysis shrimp? I recently started feeding that and everything in my tank has fattend up. the pieces of shrimp are large and have more nutritional value then other brands of mysis shrimp. just make sure you rinse it good first

You have to make sure food is getting to the bottom. Both of mine also love bloodworms.

All give it a shot. He goes after everything.

Hes a funny guy. This week i updated my clean up crew and he would pick the snails off the glass as they were getting to close to him and move them to the other side of the tank.

All look for these foods and see if they will change him.

    Thanks

    Goby Apears to be dying.

So i noticed it barly coming out to feed yesterday and then today not at all. I was able to catch him verry easy and moved him to this chamber. Still wont eat and loos like hes got a color change in his head.

Any ideas on what could save him. If i have a dead fish i usualy find him that way. never on the downward slope.

If i could save this one i would do what i could.

you might try soaking food in garlic. that might stimulate his appetite.

Yea. Tried the bloodworms and the other fish got more out of it than he did.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Sorry for the fish :-(

I agree with schackmel, internal parasites. Once they get to a certain point they just stop eating all together.
