After successfully moving most of my corals to a smaller tank last night, I was looking closely at the new tank today and noticed this little guy huggiung the front glass along the sandbed. It is reddish-orange in color, but I can't make out an exact shape. I don't think it's a nudibranch, as I see no trademark appendages like found on most nudis.

I just hope it's not a flatworm...this is the only one I found.

    Thanks in advance.

I am a flatworm freak now after I got hit REALLY hard with them once. seriously, all i can say is to not let them go because they can dominate the tank

I had a few thousand of those guys before i knew it but my melarunus wrasse did them in. Since you don't have any fish in there yet maybe rent a sixline. They are pretty good with planaria

Do a google image search of "acoel flatworm". There are bad flatworms and some not so bad ones. I've got some not so bad ones. From what I've read, the bad ones have a three points on their butt. The not so bad ones have only 2 points.

I believe both are destructive in that they release toxins when they die. Additionally, I have never heard about the difference between the points but I would suspect that they are still the same flatworms, just either in slightly different variations or at different life stages.
