    Ok I know I haven't been on in forever but its been pretty hectic around here :/. Saw this guy and I just can't find a similar pic. It retracts during the day to a fuzzy q-tip looking nub but at night it extends pretty flippin long. I'm assuming its some sort of worm. It's tubeless and has attached itself to the substrate.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Looks very similar to a hydroid.

    It's just a spoon worm (Bonellid Echiuran) Comepletely harmless! I have a whole bunch of them in my tank! They come in a few different colors. Most of the ones I have are whitish clear, like yours, but I also have a brown one... but I have also seen green ones in other people tanks.
