I recently bought an acan off a buddy of mine and am having some troubles identifying it. Can anybody help me out? Also how much does one usually go for? Want to make sure I didn't get ripped off.

I can't help you with a name but I recently purchased a red/purple acan from my LFS that is about 3.5-4" long 2"wide for $120. I thought it was pricey but...... I really wanted it. :) IDK if that helps. I can't tell the size of yours... that may be a monster clown. :p

Mine is approx the same size. I just know different acans go for different prices especially if they're an aussie

I don't believe that is an Acan. I think it is a Favia or something from that family.

I was thinking this too but I've only ever seen a couple of them and some are more "poofy" looking than the one I have. Like I was just looking on LA at one and thought "now that's not right" but I can't imagine they're wrong.

I've searched through alot of the favia's and nothing really resembles it. There are a few acans that look similar but nothing close enough to call a match. LoL I really have no idea what it is.

I'm with John, definitely not an Acan of any type. Looks similar to a Gonastrea.
