Ugliest DIY lights I made.

    My 2 Bulb T5 fixture broke on the 21st day of owning it. So I decided to return it for two Hagen ballast systems and make my own 4 bulb system for the same price. I had the shell of an old Current USA 4 bulb system I got from a hobbyist who quit maintaining their tank(and the puffer too). I don't have that much money or tools. So I used what i had around the house to cut holes and rewire.

    Hope this works till i upgrade this summer.
    lmk what you think of this ugglly thing haha.. hope i did this right

    I think thats pretty cool for u just making it outta what you had. looks like it works to me. doing somthing with the zip tied wires may help the look of it though lol. good job imo

    not to mention if you are handy you can shorten up the length of them.

    looks pretty good..maybe mount the ballast down below,use some wire loom to cover up the wires and then all you will see is the fixture with the cool looking glow your fans put off..nice job..

    haha thanks guys. I couldnt fit the ballasts inside. will get some wire loom, great idea.
