    My LFS suggested this salt and when I got it home it doesn't have any mixing instructions besides mixing the whole bag does anyone know how much to mix just to make a gallon???

    Hmmm... my last two salt brands were about 1.6 cups of salt per 5 gallons - I'd do the math for 1 gallon and start there and test salinity from there.

    hmm i was thining about changing salt mix. i might use this let me look into a little more thanks.

    Just a follow up :computer:

    It took me 2 1/4 cups to get 1.024 for 5 gallons using the Tunze salt.

    Interesting - much higher than the salts I have been playing with.

    I was using Instant Ocean before the Tunze and Instant Ocean salt use 1/2 cup of Instant Ocean salt for each U.S. gallon of water. That would be 2 1/2 cups
