    i have some trumpets ive had for awhile and 1 day they became hard as if it was dead. i was going to throw it away but the wife told me to put back cause she liked the color in the tank. now they are blooming like nothing ever happen. they are even bigger now then before. any reasons for this or explainations?

    I just went through the same thing :) could of been a number of things. However after they started opening again I noticed them expelling (pooping) big time. So maybe they were working up to this lol

    its because you had them for a day man. Dont just think something is dead cuz it doesnt look good in the first day, unless it is just straight up all skeleton..Dont ever throw something away. Corals can handle alot more then most people would think. And some can barely handle any change.
