Today I purchased (saved) a Trumpet coral from a LFS who didn't have sufficient lighting. I do (LEd from boost) but my tank is only 2.5 months old. The Trumpet corals were deffintely dying from the poor lighting (old t5 bulbs it looks like) and we both decided it would be worth a shot. I know i need to start testing and based on the results dosing calcium. What else do I need to start testing as this is my first coral (I have had an anemone for 3 weeks)? Also, what foods do you guys recommend? Thank you in advance for the help!

You will need to test your alk as well. You can try feeding small mysis and finely chopped seafood when the tentacles are out.

It looks to be OK to me. It should come around with good care and water conditions.

Thank you, I tested for Calcium today. I used almost the entire dropper to turn the water blue. Guess I don't get to does just yet! Alkalinity was around 9 for me.

Anything else I can do to try to make it feel as at home as possible? I am going to do an extra water change this week (10-15 percent each time).
