Looks like my butterflies are breaking out with ick(small white raised dots and scratching on rocks).

I was just wondering if anyone has treated their entire tank with any success , without breaking down the tank .

I would appreciate any suggestions on how or what products that anyone had work for them.

Right now I,m trying (Chem-Marin Stop Parasites), not too thrilled with it, and (Kent Garlic Xtreme)as a food soak.

    Thanks

Garlic is good and you might want to add vitamins to that. That Chem-Marin is junk. You need a place to QT with something much more effective.

When I first put my Hippo Tang in the tank he started to get spots on him. I then started soaking their food in Vit C before I fed them and have never had another problem with it. I just let the food soak for about 20 min before I feed.
Wish you luck in your treatment.

A simple soak in the Vit C will do the trick may want to boost heat up a degree of two.

I have a question. My tanks are small, so I do not get to keep tangs, I was under the impression that the bumps that tangs can get from stress are different than ich...am I wrong?????
