All my coral are doing really well, except my trachy. It is still puffy and everything, but the flesh is bleaching. What could be going on?

    It's in the sand under 8 54w T5 lights.

    Thanks!!

Bleaching sounds like to much PAR from your lights or exposed to air for too long of time. How long have you had it in the tank? Is this in your 37 or in the 90? That's 432watts. How deep iss the tank?

It's in my 90 gallon, that's 25" deep. The lights are strong, but my wellso is loving them....I've had it for a few months, I can't really remember the exact amount of time.

It started on the outside "ring", does that make sense? I'll try to get a pic.

Yeah. Check for any algae or cyano, or really anything else, growing on the skeleton around the edge (if the skeleton is exposed at all).

I could guess either lack of light, or too much light. I don't know if you recently changed bulbs or maybe they're getting up there in age, so I kinda couldn't say.

I was thinking maybe it's too much light....but no other corals seem to have a problem with the amount of light. So that's what is making me unsure.

Here's a pic - it's not great, but you can kind of see the areas where it is bleaching. Overall, the red has really lightened up and then there are patches of white.
