too much flow on carnation

    on the top left i have my carnation hanging down 3 inches behind it giving it some flow is a rio nano protien skimmer, and 6 inches away is a medium black standard power head. also the polyps are not open but the branches open all the way. i have my power head to turn off/on every hour; that is to semulate the water cureents in fiji, tonga yada yada, im worried about it
    wasting away if there even is such thing as 'too much flow on a carnation'

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    While it's difficult to say what specific NPS you have, carnation coral can be a catch all term, I doubt that unless it's directly in front of a PH it's getting too much flow. Extremely difficult to keep the true NPS carnation coral long term. You need to provide it with a constant appropriate food source of small suspended particles, hard to do in small tanks and preserve the water quality at the same time.
