Todd_Sails DIY Drip Doser...

This is my DIY drip doser.

No pumps or sensors, only gravity.

I fill the bottle with RO/DI, then add what I want to dose, cap, and shake/mix.
I add the IV/drip line, start the siphon, and let it drip for hours- keeping the electrolytes more stable.

Nice Todd. I do something similar with a Kent IV doser setup and kalk. What are you dosing?

Either Pickling LIme (Kalc), CaCL, Mg, Baking soda, Borax, or a combination.

Usually daily a little Mg, and either Kalc, of CaCl and baking soda.

 

Makes sense. The hardest thing about it for me is filling it up every day. But it works great.

 

my fear would be my cat knocking the just into the sump.

 

If mine were knocked into the sump, it would be a bit more like the way I was dosing- with a 16oz plactic cup, mixing each dose in tank water and dumping right back in my sump!
